What's everyone doing during downtime?

My excuse was the heat index of 116 for a week straight with A/C on the fritz for months... just too dang hot to do chores outside till now

Went to bed at 10 PM Mountain time. Woke up and went to work.

Will get home around 5:30 PM Mountain time and probably watch a few Big Bang Theory reruns with my wife while we eat dinner. Supposedly, the servers will be up by 9:00 PM Mountain time but I doubt that so I'll likely go to bed at 10 PM again and check out the worlds tomorrow morning.

From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM tonight will be the "challenging time." Maybe I'll catch up on my reading a little bit.

  • Condition Leather
  • Oil Wood Furniture
  • Cook up a beautiful cut of salmon tonight for dinner with some pasta and greens

If my hands still work after that...maybe make some new insoles for my slippers...

I was headed that direction. Looking forward to overdue grass mowing in something under 100.

Alas, my old rider died. Waiting on new one which is several days overdue now as well.

Post-Covid condition taunts me with reminders that I push mowed my 2 acres just 2 years ago.

YouTube vids it is then. And watching grass grow. You know once it's reaching knee height, i think you can actually watch it get taller by the hour. :(

Luckily I"m at work (and not working...) So I have a feeling it won't be up when I get free, but worse case I will talk to the people that inhabit my house, maybe feed them and poke them with sticks a bit, and then... hopefully it'll be back up so I can start ignoring them again. ?

Day 1 : DDO is still down. My rations are waning, my willpower drained, and my body exhausted. How long can I survive like this?

Working my normal 4:30am to 6:30pm Est.
Then I'll go home and make dinner for the family.
Eat while chatting about the day and watching some anime with the kid.
Looking forward to playing some more Solasta to cap off the night.
Wish I had played it sooner so that I could have been done with it before Baldur's Gate 3 launched.
I'll just have to be disciplined and not lose myself to BG3 until I've beaten Solasta at least once!
If I'm feeling antsy I might even start to setup my Foundry VTT D&D game...so much to learn still about using it!
If I'm feeling really ambitious I'll even learn to export my Dungeon Alchemist maps into my Foundry VTT D&D game.

MAN, That's too much!!! I'm just gonna play Solasta and watch some anime.

I feel your pain.

My yard hasn't been mowed in 2 summers.
My riding mower died last year, so it looks like a jungle now.
All I have now is a lil 20-inch push mower that I got in last week.
I'm in Arkansas, where the heat is pushing 100 on the daily.

I've gotten about 25% of it done.

I can only do about 30 minutes of mowing knee-high grass per day in this kind of heat .. hence my need for copious amounts of cannabis ;)

I unpacked the bags from the long weekend in Virginia. Then I played with the cats, then started laundry (see aforementioned bags). While the laundry was going, I played skyrim. Once my new hard drive adaptor arrived I spend the afternoon mining off the data so I can throw the old hard drives that have been laying around forever away to continue the decluttering of the house. I also snuck in a few zoom chats with freinds and some light forum reading. Lunch and dinner with the husband, was also in there somehwere. And I worked on some tabletop characters I told the husband I'd do up for him. And there was a nap. I got a lot done. :)

I find the most frustrating aspect of being a home-owner, is spending all day trimming back the Mullberry trees, the hedges and ivy, then trimming the walks and fences, then cutting the grass, getting all the walks and the driveway completely cleaned...
.
.
... and then that night it rains for a day and in 48 hours the grass has grown 6-8 inches....

Seriously.. what the H-E-double hockey sticks?
