DDO is Scaled currently to fit 2k at Maximum

1920x1080 because I play using my 55 inch TV and if I play anything other than full screen at 1920x1080 all the text and icons are too small.

It's a problem, I want to start streaming, but being limited to Full Screen is giving me some headaches.

3440x1440 (UW), but only run DDO at 1080P
4K, but only run DDO at 1440P normally unless if recording Cinematics (UI elements don't matter as it's turned off)
4K, but only run DDO at 1440P normally
720, full screen but don't use this display anymore for DDO usually

I play DDO in 1080p windowed. If I play on my 7" Pocket PC then 1920x1200 Fullscreen.

I've been looking at Lossless just now, it seems to allow some unusual resolution options but the hotbars are still way too small

Actually, Ive been tinkering with it and Ive managed to get it at 1920x1080 Windowed. I will have to try OBS again now, but tomorrow as its getting late, good man Mr Fox!

The hotbar sizes with lossless will be entirely based off the windowed mode resolution you set DDO to. I set DDO to 1080p windowed and then lossless makes it fit my monitor.

anyone have an issue with having a monitor plugged into a laptop and have the game crash if you minimize? I get a direct x initialization error or something. tried changing direct x versions

Try step 10 to see if that helps. Also try step 3 just in case you're missing any of the directx 9 library files DDO uses.

I used to run at 7200x2560 but had a monitor die and have been using a much less fun 4320x2560 since then. (5x1/3x1 array of 27" portrait 1440p monitors)

I actually wonder, does anyone play DDO in a 4K+ (W) Windowed on a 4K display, then have a smaller resolution display also connected to the side and then move the Windowed DDO client over so you have all the Hotbars and chat boxes there (with an equal amount on the other side off to the side of the main display)?

In theory, it does the same thing without needing to use something like Lossless to upscale.
