I really searched for anything that was similar to the starter rags but looked "clean." I can find nothing that resembles this... but I do recall that when the Bound-to-Item cosmetic kits came out some people were using them on the starter rags (I have no idea why) and discovering that they had unique appearances on the starter rags.

If anyone has been around long enough to remember this the appearance of the original Bound-to-Item cosmetic kits was determined by the item you bound them to thus if you put them on outfit/robes/light/med/heavy armor the kit displayed the version of itself that corresponded to that type of armor. For docents it corresponded to the body type of the warforged. I do NOT recall if there was anything besides starter rags that had a unique appearance but I do recall people reporting that some cosmetic kits had special interactions with the starter rags.

Could you possibly be remembering this? or possibly you saw someone with one of those old kits maybe dressed on a storage character?

I have this old kit on a storage character and I get asked what she is wearing ALL the time.

I can do things others can't...
Might be better to ask what OP means by "Clean looking".

Whiter? But same tattered look? (Could be a skin colour issue, as a skin with a more red or golden hue causes the rags to look more "yellow" and "aged", whilst a dark or bluer skinned character wearing the rags appear more "white").

"Finely Pressed" would suggest the Slave Rags from Slave Lords, but given that's been brought up a few times, it's hard to see how they could have missed looking at that and not gone, "Yep, that's the one!". So I imagine that is not what they are after either.

Also, some effects would also cause armour to look a different colour, so it might be one of the two mentioned items already but mixed with a different effect causes it to appear more new or white (and/or) finely pressed (in the case of the Slave Rags).

When the Mirror of Glamering was introduced on the Live Server, it was full of bugs and barely debugged.

Textures that were supposed to display didn't show up properly, and some parts failed to copy correctly.
There was even a bug where only the lower body wouldn't copy, resulting in the upper body showing the copied armor while the lower body displayed the Rags that appear when you're naked.
(Of course, there were also cases where the lower body was copied correctly but the upper body displayed Rags instead.)

Because of these copying errors, people who still have cosmetics from this time probably own various odd-looking Rags-like cosmetics.
There were so many different patterns of bugs that I regret not holding onto them.

The screenshot below shows the Stonemeld Plate Armor that failed to copy its colors properly.
Still had images left in the folder of screenshots taken long ago.

I searched through the old forums, but it seems the logs are no longer there.
If my memory is correct, there was a screenshot of a dwarf with a bright green upper body and only brown pants on the lower body.

Since there is still a bug with the Mirror of Glamering where the material colors of items are not copied correctly, it’s possible that there are still combinations where the copy doesn't work properly, and you might be able to create vivid Rags even now.

It might be worth experimenting with it the next time Lammania opens.
