What's the deal with over-priced augments in the auction house

23 pages of common augments for a million plat. Why? Is anyone actually paying those ridiculous prices? And what are you going to do with the million plat you get from scamming new players? What is there to buy that's even in that category of plat? It's not like people are posting pets, airship deeds, or anything high-end in the Auction House. It just looks greedy AND stupid. Because this is Wayfinder and if you need an augment, just ask and everyone will give you whatever you need, augments/collectibles/ingredients/tomes/named loot/whatever for free.

Some people use the AH (and mailbox) as bankspace. Just put it in a ridiculous price and it will stay there.

Yes, people at cap will pay these prices. When at max plat I buy junk at AH just so vendors will deal with me again.

New players don't get scammed by these prices. New Players get scammed by listing things of value on plat AH, which immediately gets hovered up by traders.
