This is obviously the answer. You can't go wrong with another fighter.I say turn into the skid, MORE FIGHTER ICONICS!
How about Unfavored Soul. You have been forsaken by all gods and devs. You have been gutted and then even more gutted. Just shut up and hjeal.Second Favored Soul. Though please don't put 'dark' in front of the name and make them evil.
I'd love that! But I just know that a Wild Magic Barbarian in DDO would just fart all the time.* Wild Magic Barbarian
* Rages cause misc. effects when activated (Shout, Bless, AoE dam (various), Stoneskin, Aid, Water breathing, etc).
* Misc. on hit effects (I.e Color of the Queen “like” table) while raged.
* Enhancement Tree built on Great Club and Club weapons.

Maybe they'll do a Wizard one to go with the Balance pass, just hope that's not all they do for casters...Wiz and Barby clearly need one. That being said, Casters need a profoundly deep pass before anything else should be realsed. Barbies, are IMO, too good at cap, and its like that any Arch released could make Barb even more powerful.
they could lean into the crossbow thing, let them use 2 repeating crossbows at once, and 2 rune armsBarbarian feels like the most natural choice to me.
Favored Soul is good too but I don't feel like I'm as interested in another caster archetype, at least not until casters actually get some TLC (unless they just, like, make an archetype as powerful as ATr in which case I wouldn't mind having a sacred nuclear bomb). And I feel like SSG is avoiding archetypes for premium classes.
Alchemist could get some Lamordia inspired mad scientist archetype, I guess, and it's a premium.
I don't know how to do an Artificer archetype that isn't just an artificer- artificers are kind of a jack of all trades conceptually, so unless it's basically just "you trade an artificer themed enhancement tree for a different artificer themed enhancement tree" I don't know what they'd actually do there that would really feel like an archetype.
All my homies hate wizards and I hope they never get an archetype. (This is not specific to DDO. I hate how D&D does wizards. I think it's fundamentally stupid and I will gladly rant about it at length, but basically I think it's too broad a concept to really be a class and is held back by being a jack of all trades by design. Ironically, despite my joke about hating wizards and hoping they never get archetypes, archetypes, and particularly a ton of them, are what I actually think would fix the conceptual design of wizards in D&D.)
More undead classes that hopefully spawns a nice undead focused epic destinies for me. Though I suppose that's not the same as darl"Second Favored Soul. Though please don't put 'dark' in front of the name and make them evil.
They could instead take inspiration from the Celestial Warlock: https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Celestial_Warlock_(3.5e_Class)
Or maybe double down on the sorcerer-like nature with divine soul. https://dnd5e.wikidot.com/sorcerer:divine-soul
I would love to actually see a Barbarian archetype most of all. I've mentioned this before but a raging thrower or battlerager or big club guy would be fun af.
They get a reverse ddoor that takes them to the end of the questthey could lean into the crossbow thing, let them use 2 repeating crossbows at once, and 2 rune arms
give them something like the aov summon archon, but make it a magefire cannon that sits on the shoulder, at level 12 they get one on the other shoulder too
instead of a dog they get one of those ballistas from epic storm the beach
