DDO was my primary game for a number of years, but I've played it very little over recent years years. Since I don't play often, I've been content to get the expansions when they go on deep discount at Black Friday-Christmas time.
As I recall, you could always buy the DDO market version when it went on discount even if you had the quests through the store (for DDO points), or if you bought a lower version (i.e. Standard) you could buy a higher version (i.e. Ultimate fan bundle) when it went on sale and get the extras. Is that still true?
In other words, if I use this code to get IoD this month and it goes on sale in the market for $35 during the holidays 1 1/2 yr from now, can I buy it for $35 and get the tomes, Otto's boxes, races, character slots, etc. if I feel those are worth the price?
I realize no one knows what changes in policy might happen over the following years, etc. but is that how it works currently?
