Which quests would transfer best to pen and paper?

Are there any other quests that have been inspirational for pen and paper games? Any quests that you would want to try to replicate as is in dnd?

Shortly after Dryad and the Demigod released, I made a boss who would insult the players at the top of the turn order in a battle of the bands style arena setting, where characters were on hot mic speaking stones after their music battle dissolved into combat. They would have 30 seconds to create the best comeback, then continue to fight using normal DND rules. If it was good or roleplayed well, the crowd would turn to their side, offering a buff to the party for that turn.

I think Mira's Sleepless Nights would make an excellent one shot, personally. Finding Canton Parthilcar's journal before fighting him at the end was a cool moment for me.

This did get me wondering whether or not it would be financially viable for SSG to sell their original modules in PDF form or even printed on paper.

I'm usually quite critical of LLMs but reformatting data that is exported from the game, with a human editor giving it a final check, might be the right sort of task for this type of automation.

The content of most quests is already at a very good standard so perhaps all that is needed is a process that is very efficient to keep the costs down and make it viable.

That part about having a "battle of the bands" battle would fit the end of Epic Prove Your Worth, where you have a battle, then the guy taunts you, and expects to be taunted back.
In DDO, you have to use a social skill, it impresses the parrot that repeats them, so the pirate gets dissed by his own bird and gets stunned for it.

I just played that with a static group this weekend, and tried /say with a fast rebuttal, but it didn't do anything. Good to know!

Epic prove your worth: Did this recently on a bard (104 Diplo, 93 bluff) Diplo failed, every time. Bluff worked, every time.

For some reason my Diplo is always higher than my bluff, so I was always trying that. Got frustrated last time thru and tried bluff, and viola! No one was stunned!

I always use Intimidate because it has a shorter cool down.

I think this quest in PNP would be pretty funny.

DM: You have made your way into a large room, carved out of the stone with some sort of labyrinth blocking your path. Flames are spouting from jets on top of the labyrinth walls and you can see what looks like a chest engulfed in flames, but not burning. Rogue, your senses are tingling as you walk into the room. What do you do?

Party: I begin to smash all of the crates and barrels to see if there's any random loot.

I used "Seeds of Decay" as an inspiration for a P&P adventure. I changed the background and the layout of the dungeon a bit, but I wanted a dungeon with environmental dangers and some traps, so the idea of a long lost and overgrown temple of Moander worked great.
Though I did remove the seeds and the whole "cult wants to revive Moander" part.

Old Bonegrinder would be a solid one. Imagine surviving the wilderness of Barovia to come across a man telling you he sold his entire family for a pastry as the first sign of safety. Only to find out later the entire village is addicted to pies and they all know they're made up from the remains of children. Absolutely nothing is safe. Try sleeping in that inn?

I've ran Tharask Arena as a one-off in 3.5e, 5e, and Dungeon World. All three of which were hits with the players, as it's a simple straight-forward quest.

I've also run Haywire Foundry, which immediately went off the rails and almost gave me a TPK.

I recently got back into TTRPGs after a long hiatus, and my current goal is to run my group through a bunch of different systems in order to find which ones I like the most to either steal from for my own system or just use whole cloth. To that end, I know that I've been considering using the Masterminds of Sharn as one of them. It should easily be convertible to something a bit more investigative.

I have been playing the Quests from Myth Drannor. The dungeons and temples seem to be really fun and i could see them translating well to PNP. The quests give me real vibes about the TTRPG. It's been great!

Not based on a quest, per say, but my partner and I did come up with a one-shot based on the Singing Sword in the Feywild, which basically involves traversing the Feywild to return the sword to Lord Arden. Run it three times with different groups, all to great success.

I always thought "Caverns of Korromar" would translate well to PNP D&D. You have the outer courtyard, the sewers, 4 mine shafts each with several encounters and then the final beholder boss. I could see that taking several sessions to do the whole thing. Plus all the journal entries give a lot of background story. very atmospheric in a undead creepy way. :)
