About six years ago, I got tired of relying on groups to push R10 content as a pure tank, so I started building something that could stand on its own — a tank built on top of a DPS chassis.
This build represents the culmination of that effort: years of planning, feedback, and patience — waiting through multiple expansions until the right systems and items aligned. It’s unfortunate that you have to be so calculated to make something like this work, but that’s just the reality we play in.
These days, I skip items on the rare loot table entirely. The time investment versus the drop rate just doesn’t add up, and honestly, the entire system is something I’ve come to strongly resent. When you’re chasing combinations like Gear X + Mythic X / Reaper X, it stops feeling rewarding and starts feeling like a punishment. So instead, I focus on consistent, repeatable sources — things I can craft, target, and control — to maximize ROI against the current RNG reality.
I also prioritize Mythic 3–4 gear over Reaper bonuses, since I can craft Reaper stats but not Mythic ones. It’s all about reducing reliance on luck and building around what’s actually sustainable within the scope of a human life. The result is a setup that’s balanced, powerful, and efficient — tuned for real-world drop rates, not fantasy scenarios.
