Had anyone ever asked her to predict her own future, she might have responded, if gloomy in her cups, that it was improbable that a professional assassin would enjoy a very long future; more optimistically, she might have envisaged a splendid middle age in some romantic palace, surrounded by jewels and coloured lights, her hands kissed and her bed warmed by platoons of handsome courtly sycophants.

BtW...you chose a great option for your forum icon; although the beard could be a bit longer ... Botttom line, a man who has a beard like that is likely someone I would like to meet and would get along with. (although today's USAF likely wouldn't go for the beard; might get caught in the props or the chutes)
