Why are there no airship exits in Myth Drannor village?

I don't think there's an airship portal in the grove, just a Stormreach Teleporter.

But, yes, licensing is not B.S. it's the terms under which SSG is allowed to make and operate this content. If they start violating the licensing terms, WOTC will shut them down.

You can only teleport directly to Myth Drannor from your guild airship if you have the teleportation item, hence why it's a convenience item. The only expansions you can leave and go directly to the airship are the non-FR ones (Ravenloft, Feywild, Isle of Dread, Saltmarsh) and of course there's an airship portal in Morgrave University since it's in Eberron.

Weren't we told the same thing about why the eveningstar key had to have a 30 minute timer and yet now we can teleport to forgotten realms immediatey.
New contracts for obtaining the rights to use Myth Drannor and they obviously got better fast travel out of it to the new area. But the old contracts for Estar would still be around for the key; and probably not worth the time/effort/COSTS$$$$$ to renegotiate them over a teleport item. Thus different rules for different methods of getting around.

Which is thematically impossible.... but... we have them.

if the Dark Powers and a Dark Lord closing his borders; as well as an actual God can't stop us.... you'd think some magic Elves could find a way....

I'm pretty sure the tree hollow in Gatekeepers does go to your airship.

The entire IoD storyline makes little sense, in fact you are not stranded there with no way to leave as Vecna keeps repeating.

I noticed that there are no airships exits in Myth Drannor, but IoD village has multiple exits. Please fix this and add exits to MD.
There are 2 ways to answer this:

1) Real World licensing/branding negotiations and corporate/human behavorial factors.
A) See above responses. Most of the reasons have been enumerated well enough concerning this.

2) In-Game Lore
A) Specifically on the continent of Faerun, which is where all of the Forgotten Realms content we have recieved so far takes place, the art of Airship Crafting is a state secret of Halruaa. They are the only country on that continent that actually has the Magical / Engineering knowledge of how to create such ships and they protect their methods with a vengeance. And Halruaa would not allow adventurer guilds to use their ships!
Note: While I would love to get into an in depth discussion on the social structure and internal mechanisms of Halruaa explaining why they are unlikely to ever give up their secret Airship Tech, suffice to say that while a few Halruaans with the knowledge of Airships have defected from their country over the past 100-150 years. They are hunted down by state slayer squads and even if they did get the chance to sell their knowledge to another power, they most certainly met a most gruesome end. As did whomever gave them shelter.

So whether you accept the Real World answer or the Game World answer, you have an answer. If you accept neither, then no one can help you.
