Why are we spamming G in chat for the grip mechanic now?

It would be really nice if you could deliberately flash your party icon a particular color (different from voice color) to make it easier to deal with this kind of mechanic.

F sounds like a horrible idea. People's mics randomly light up for me even when they're not using voice chat at all. Mine does too even though I have it off lol. Seeing someone spam something in chat definitely draws the eye

I mean in this case you are still spamming f in chat I'm not saying to just spam f not typing in the chat, just while you are spamming f in chat there is almost no way you are not also activating your PTT if you have it enabled and it is still f.

Sure peoples mic light up randomly while they aren't spamming f but there is a difference of it just happening and someone spamming f in the chat and thus turning their PTT on and off multiple times causing it to actually flicker on and off.

I would like that, but there are definitely larger issues I'd rather them work on first

Oh, yeah, there are bigger things, but I think those scare them. The UI is a place where teeny changes can give us some large QOL gains and maybe hook them on future improvements.
