Why do beginners give up the game? Why so few players?

No, and what's your point?

PS Warframe sounds like another Fallot76 platformer

Yeah. Not Thanks for not using your own words online.
I did use my words previously its free and amazing to play, no FOMO tactics and it is not a platformer game. It can be played in so many different playstyles it works for all and the current peak time population is 90k players. Hope that helps.

If you already purchased all the content it is one of the cheapest. Getting there is kind of expensive.
It's definitely expensive if you want to be hitting the same content as everyone else. You can spend thousands of hours farming content to earn points from favor but it's never going to enable you to run the latest expansions because those don't hit the store until long after their release.

It's definitely expensive for a new player to buy-in. That's why the free quests codes are so important.

What’s so important is a team that actually figured out making old content free all the time instead of weird annual one off 95% deals makes way more sense.

The review of old stuff would be the catch up thing. It is simply not worth doing a lot of non expansion stuff.

The only "catch up mechanism" will always be time and money just like it has been for those who others want to catch up to. No one is forcing anyone to "catch up" so it is a choice. Gotta pay your dues otherwise it is meaningless. You can always go play Fortnite or the like where it is all about skill (and luck...).

Great attitude. DDO is well into its' thousand papercuts death because SSG dont care about new players because they have no idea how to get them to stay - so they just keep extracting more and more money from a smaller and smaller playerbase.

How much will 50 or 100 Ottos Boxes set you back? Or 200, really.
23,000 points is $199. You need 44 of them for 200 Heroic Otto's Boxes at 4,995 TP. That's $8,756 or $6,041 with a double bonus point sale.

That said if you're spending that much you should be buying Improved Epic Otto's Boxes since the base ones only take you from level 20 to 25.

Great attitude.
There's a reason I have people like that on ignore. I said this in another thread. Some people just have bad opinions. They're one of them. SSG isn't very new player friendly which is problematic in the long term. Unfortunately SSG only ever looks at the short term because they're not really that profitable. Gee. I wonder why.

They are. The fact that you can't see this is mind boggling.

k fomo; USD100 a year is NOTHING and you know it.
Yeah, well, sorry for being born and live in a poor country where people make $100 (at best) per month.
Giving all of your monthly salary for DDO VIP and stay hungry, without water/electricity and a fine for failure to pay rent is not fun, you know.
So, excuse me, I'd rather give my money to someone who creates local prices.
Well, SSG doesn't want my money anyway... 🙄

This. $100 is nothing for me, but I'm an old dude with an established career (OnlyFans, don't hate) and I live in the USA.

There are many players with the cost of the expansion in US dollars is a month's or a week's pay.

DDO is the ONLY GAME IN IT'S class without a catchup mechanic. You can only milk whales for so long before the teets run dry.
