Will the green event border on item icons stay after the Symphony of the Fey event is over?

As per title.

Its only a minor thing in the grand scheme of things...but..

I personally am not a fan of the green border on all new items dropped. Its harder to distinguish common / rare / raid loot at a glance. I get why it was done for the event. But can we either get it turned off once the event is finished, or have a setting we can toggle to turn them off?

I recently made a thread exactly about this expressing my frustrations with the border, it would be great to have an option to disable it. Hard to distinguish regular items versus raid items.

Luckily, I'm color blind so I can't distinguish all items anyhow 🤣. But my guildies are complaining too.

They are also asking if when the event finish will the items revert back to normal?

I also would be happy if it would revert.
What I like is the added musical note on the items. That clearly signifies it is an event item.
If that could stay without affecting the border it works be a bliss.

Its not minor to me. I havent played in a long while and when I did some quests today, I realized I was tossing out blue items from quests. I dont like it, and hope it goes back to being blue.

Don't see any reason for it to persist beyond the event.
They wouldn't want the same to be used in future events as they want everyone to have the same start point for each forthcoming event.
Would make more sense for the items to lose the event Fey effect and become regular gear and restart a themed border for the next event.

that border is poorly thought out
Messing with visual indicators is a MAJOR change to a UI from a use standpoint.

The only reason it didn't bite me is because when I sell things, I throw them out based on whether they have augment slots or not, which means I have to paw through everything anyway.

Now, if they're looking for a new thing to put a visual indicator on, items with augment slots would be absolutely amazing. Items from event? Meh.

I agree that it is very annoying having the whole border modified rather than just adding the music note to the corner. Hopefully the borders are removed after the event, even if they don’t modify it during the event. I would be nice if named items acquired during the event don’t still look like trash loot on my mules.

At the very least, create a mechanism for the “Symphony of the Fey” property and the border to be stripped from an item.

Adjusts tinfoil hat - Perhaps SSG wants players to spend additional time inspecting loot or even throw away named items in order to increase time spent in-game and possibly stretch out farming time (shard re-rolls).
