Will upgrading to an Undying Age weapon destroy anything?

So, got bored with my main and now trying a new build. The joy. But I want an Undying Age weapon on that one.... so is it safe to add augments and sentient stuff to the Golden Age weapon before I get around to upgrading it, or will that make stuffies go byebye?

Good point, but I have been insanely lucky with GA weapons, and no less than four have dropped for me. So just turned two in for the one I wanted.

My sanity was lost long ago. And dignity. Hmm. Need to look it up, what's that?

try uninstalling DDO first and it might come back

I didnt have anything on mine when I upgraded so I cant say for sure.

I have had 5 GA weapons drop with zero rerolling. Quite good luck in the wilderness during boost weekend with pot running. I havent even farmed MD heavily.

Upgrading to Undying creates a new item, so yes, augments are destroyed. Also don't add sentient to it

That's what I was afraid of, but thanks for confirming. No putting sentient and stuff in yet, then.

Never saw a golden age weapon, but I did a similar upgrade with another item and all augments and sentient jewels were destroyed in the process.

I was just thinking about upgrading a golden age weapon.. but wasn't sure if something bad would happen if it went to Undying. Glad you made this thread to prevent some wasted time.

Just swap it out, doesn't destroy anything. Going from gold > undying makes a new weapon. But once there, you can redo the LGS effects over and over without issue.

Never destroy pictures of your ex. You need reminders to prevent repeating the same mistakes!

A good rule of thumb is if it costs 120 barrier fragments, it will destroy your augments/sentience.

before you upgrade it, stick some cheap ML 1 augment in it to confirm that the augment is lost. Then we will know for sure.
