why not TWF ? I am confused,?

Orbs add MORE stats and abilities, especially with Dino crafting. Besides, the Bastard sword gains a nice amount of strike through and a base damage increase from the abilty score modifier.

ah, I found Nature’s Fury don’t effect dwarfs axe, only 19-20 crits 1 multiplier

yes,the panel show 1, but I test the dps with dwarf axe , it’s really only 1 .

Why take dwarven axe proficiency if it is granted via the 2nd core in the EK tree?

EDIT: Disregard, I believe I am getting it as a granted proficiency because I AM A DWARF, and it's therefore treated as a martial weapon, so 2nd core in EK grants me the proficiency.

I TR'd and followed your build this life, blew through heroics and just now hit epics. Went dwarf and dwarven axe, and only have 6 lives in the bank, so I had to make some adjustments to get rolling.

Incorp is reduced in reaper so the MRR and neg heal amp and 2 con makes Lich the better form if planning to do high reaper. For elite and low reaper Incorp is a solid option.

Yes, @Spook is right, Incorp Is useless in high Reapers. I love so much the Vamp form during the TR because it procs some heals during the fight.

Been recently running a build similar to yours, but more focused / geared on spell casting. Current class spread Arty (1), Barb (1), Wiz (18). Artificer allows for trapping skills and repeater usage. Barbarian allows for 10% speed increase and Barb rage feat. This way I can select Razorclaw Shifter but use the Barbarian's rage instead for the greater hit point boost. Once at cap, I'll have:

Evasion (via Primal)
Two Handed Fighting, Greater
Shield Mastery, Greater
Meta Magics: Embolden, Extend, Maximize, Quicken, Empower, Intensify, Heighten
Extended spells (via Fatesinger)
Cut The Strings (via Fatesinger)
High dodge (geared with light armor and med. shield)
SLD Displacement (Via Archmage

Currently lvl 23, but been running R8's with my regular 4-man group for the last few days. To say the least the build is very survivable and even able to off tank Dooms comfortably.

Note: Ran "Beyond the Rift" R8, seeing 8-10 Dooms spawn, was ridiculous for a single quest.

DPS wise, the build is pure Zerg material. With the combination of cheap insta-kills and SLA's, everything drops quickly, while hardly using much in the way of mana, unless signifigant CC is required. Melee is just more of an after-though beyond using Eldritch Strike to buff up the spell criticals.

Only issue I have had thus far are Champion Water Elementals and Famine Reapers. The first one shot'd me with a failed save vs ice-bolt while not apparently needing a line-of-sight to do so. The Reapers fondness for chain casting Black-Dragon bolt is fkn annoying, as my hitpoints suddenly drop with no warning as to where the dmg is coming from. Even at lvl 23, fully buffed, I've 2750 hitpoints, but healing thru something that does over 600-1000 damage a tick, just isn't viable.

Thankfully, once I'm at / above lvl 26, I'll have Evasion from Primal, thus the days where a mob can so easily tag me with a cheep shot will be over.

Testing the build during the TR is sadly not very meaningful. Think of the Blightcaster, I found it great for exping but really disappointing in the endgame.
To understand if a melee build works and is balanced in terms of survivability and DPS, you need to try it endgame on 30+ legendary quests, possibly soloing at the max R as you can.
Let me know how it goes when you are at the cap and how the character moves in high R in the legendary quests. I'm very curious.
