xbow fires by itself randomly

Anyone ever have this issue with a repeater xbow? Tried different mice, made sure sticky keys are off, rebooted etc..

If you hit the attack key at anytime during the animation of an ongoing current attack will leas to a follow up attack that cant be interrupted with repeaters, can also happen with bows, not sure about inquisitive as i have never bothered to play one.

You may have auto attack on and if you have highlighted anything the system decides to try and shoot it.

Or as Narc2 said, if you press your fire key/button while already firing, the xbow will auto fire again. Practice timing when you click your mouse. Its annoying because with melee weapons as soon as you stop pressing the key/button you stop swinging.
