I really want these kinds of moments to be an exciting time in DDO. We should all be excited for an announcement like this. But this does not generate enthusiasm.
I suggest rethinking another 10% bonus to crafting xp in month 32. If someone has been playing DDO for that long and hasn't yet gotten their crafting levels to where they want them to be then another 10% crafting xp probably isn't going to mean much because they either don't care about crafting or they haven't seen
How to Level 300 in less than 30 minutes.
Also curious about the apparent duplication of 32nd month "uncommon crafting material token", which seems to be the same as month 19.
I'd really like to see this whole system scrapped for something that is perennial that doesn't require SSG to do more work every year to sustain it.
For example if you're VIP you get static benefits like:
- No chest ransack
- Free unlimited feat exchanges
- Always on +5% xp buddy bonus
- Reincarnations may opt to start at level 4 and 7 for Veteran Status I and II
- Scroll tube, spell component pouch, wand belt and potion belt all added to character inventory as special new tabs for those items.
- Cosmetic Storage
- 1/day raid timer bypass
Upfront work then done. No new work every year. Nothing new every month to potentially break and require fixing. No confusing turn-ins. No missing months and players feeling bad because they got busy IRL and forgot to collect, which causes further frustration with the system. Just static benefits that most players will find real value in.
That's what I will do when elected DDO President
