yup...sad. at this point just add 1% named loot drop every 9 months
If each year they had a cumulative 1% Discovery loot boost, I would be very happy.

On the other hand, how many people at the year 10 mark are going to complain there isn't a "Catch up mechanic to get the +10% boost and how unfair it is?"

Some constructive feedback,

I think the mount looks very cool and the armor looks better in red.

I also like a stacking discovery boost.

The uncommon token is cool and hopefully followed by a common, and then replaced by some other new thing.

The rest should be improved by a whole lot.

To each their own I suppose. Imho mounts and cosmetics should not be part of this at all - I have zero use for them and they are better used by selling them directly piece-wise in the store to the people that do like them.

The crafting token is almost completely irrelevant as I have loads and loads already and Cannith Crafting has not been updated to ML34.

The augment tools are nice but 3 is not enough. The xp/discovery potion is nice. The rest needs improvement and most of all originality.

By year 8 or 10 of the same rewards they will nearly be as good as pots you could buy on sale and save a huge amount of money not bothering with subscriptions...
Shh... don't tell the people who are bad at math that they're bad at math. We need them to help SSG keep the lights on.

That's what makes it worse. It's not fun or good in the interim, only after years and years it will become a balance issue.

And since they can't take it away again, they will likely double down on rare loot so VIPs won't get the new loot too fast... and everyone not on the train from the beginning will be seriously... worded....

It is truly an awesome and well planned idea. Or something. I mean I like loot, but this is going to be a very foreseeable train wreck later on.

Never.

They also are not in the store.

They only drop from gold rolls, and inside certain store purchases (ottos if memory serves) and very occasionally alongside double bonus points sales.

Assuming my memory is correct.

I just wanted to be positive since i have been negative lately. I do like VIP and I will get over Cormyr, and the artists deserve love.

I can do things others can't...
Only one of my accounts (main) will remain VIP (so it's possible for me to test any issue or anything that might be VIP exclusive). The other account only went for VIP to help pick up a second Flying Nimbus so I could grab some glamour shots in there along with characters from other accounts; so they will be returning to Premium once their VIP runs out.

Personally, I don't believe the cosmetics is really compelling enough this time around for VIP. But that's just me. The Flying Nimbus was definitely worth a 12 month VIP. The discovery bonus is... in a weird spot. In theory, it's definitely useful, the only issue is, you really need another 3 more years for it to reach 5% before it really becomes noticeable, and we're not even sure they'll continue to offer up to 5%. And that's not all, we currently don't have enough tests that would suggest it is working due to limited data samples thus far and the small bonus amount (1%).

So, yeah. If not for continuation for VIP testing, I wouldn't maintain the VIP on my main account.

Now if VIP 2, 3, 4, or 5 would offer low level (ground bound basically) "flight" in the traditional sense (Superman flight mechnics), like an invisible "mount" that causes the rider to look like they're flying akin to Superman (and banking when moving and turning) or hovering (when not with forward or back motion), I'd throw everything into getting that.

So a recolour of the free green armor we got free and the patron red drake minus armor, these are the 2 big ticket items for this year, very disappointed, 5 bank space 1% buff even the character slot is :( i have so many i havent used yet, its all a bit meh and poor quality, give us a recolor of the wings or foot prints from last year along side the character slot and 1% totally pointless buff. other game double your inventory bank space give you free unlimited crafting bag and more points than you are actually paying for. i mean its better than nothing but i think its worse than year one when it should be better.
