It needs more character slots, IMHO. Could do with replacing the "VIP durability" with another char slot.

I am using 11 of 22 and I dont think Ive ever bought a character slot outright - as opposed to getting them with packs and things.

I am pretty sure with planning and moving gear around I could lower my number to below 10.

Hey it’s 10 bucks a month

cant even get a decent hamburger for that anymore

what if you could only play for 1 day for 1 hour.

oh the humanity of ddo players

problem is its kinda a dead game
The price is not the problem. Its the meh rewards and the system that is inherently based on FOMO and will lead to problems down the road because of the lack of a catch up mechanic.

A lack of a good catch up mechanism disincentivises players that buy VIP late. Why wait 9, then 21 months for the discovery boost? Why not be able to pick them as month 1 & 2? Why be forced to take cosmetics you have no interest in when you could frontload useful stuff?
I would also approve of any of the options that boost starting XP for TRs, and I love the idea of crunching XP stones into larger ones

Disappointed that the Storm Cloud mount is only available on 1 server after receiving it. Should be available to all VIP servers.

Lol, is this VIP program a reward or punishment?

The key point in this discussion is that this is about the “loyalty” program. It is different/secondary to the base VIP benefits.

Since loyalty programs in general are intended to incentivize/reward long term customers, this part of the program appears to be working as intended.

It’s really a separate discussion, but this loyalty program was SSG’s response to players’ complaints that the base VIP benefits had been devalued over the years and no longer felt very “VIP”.

With that said, this loyalty program did nothing to improve the base benefits of VIP so in that regard, it was a poor response to the VIPs’ original concerns. At the end of the day, it’s just one more Corrupt-a-Wish in a long line of them by SSG.

They’ve shown how little they care about their VIPs by effectively putting in almost zero effort and just copy/pasting the year 2 loyalty rewards. Typically in loyalty programs, the longer a customer is loyal, the better the rewards. That’s not the case with SSG apparently.

So nothing actually changed about the most horrible and unclear reward claiming system?

The +1 Character slot is a nice add though since they are never on sales anymore. Don't like the armor and mount though. They are pretty much downgrading the Year of the Dragon rewards that were supposed to be special and memorable for that year. A 50th year anniversary!!! And now you just add more of them to the game... Nothing special anymore about those armors and mounts.

Yeah it's something I pointed out way before they started year 1... No one is going to sub for VIP rewards they actually want but having to wait 24 or 36 months to get them... This will only get higher and higher. A (new) player who has never been VIP and really likes the new red dragon mount will just click away when he/she sees they get it after 24 months. It's just not tempting to start subbing this way. It will end up with only a small core player group who continue this because they are the only ones who will get the new things. And actually scare away all the other players from subbing because the prospect of getting new things will only get worse over the years.
