So, a couple weeks ago I did a soft-launch of the latest addition to YourDDO. Huge thank to those who have provided feedback and bug reports during the closed alpha and soft launch.
Anyways, the newest addition is a Gear Planner. "But Ague, why did you make a Gear Planner? I thought YourDDO is all about crafting and puzzles?" Well, truth be told, I've wanted to make a gear planner for a long time and everything that I've done with YourDDO since I brought it back has been leading up to this.
Here is the short-list of what the YourDDO Gear Planner has to offer:
• Build and save multiple gear setups for different characters or builds.
• Plan gear with class-aware filtering so the item list matches what your character can actually use.
• Include companion gear planning for Artificer and Druid pets.
• Browse and equip items by slot, with search and filtering to narrow the options.
• Track set bonuses, item effects, and conflicts so you can see how a setup fits together.
• Support advanced gearing systems like augments, filigrees, essence crafting, curses, and special item upgrades.
• Compare what you own against what’s available by importing DH Trove data.
• Save, load, and share setups through JSON files and shareable links.
• Copy plans into forum or Discord-friendly formats.
• Keep the planner usable at scale with ownership markers, item sorting, and lazy loading.
Some high-level key points:
• It understands more of the build than a simple item list, including class restrictions, pet gear, augments, filigrees, crafting, and special item upgrades.
• It helps catch conflicts before a setup is finalized, so users can see why something will not work together. can filter the item pool based on the character they are actually building, which keeps the browsing experience relevant.
• It shows set bonuses and item effects in a way that makes it easier to compare gear choices.
• It supports multiple saved setups, so users can keep different builds without starting over.
• It can share plans cleanly through links and forum or Discord formats, which is useful when asking for feedback.
• It can import ownership data, so users can focus on items they actually have or can reasonably farm.
• It covers a lot of the less-common DDO gearing systems in one place, which reduces tool switching
• The Enchantment Summary breaks down bundled item effects into their component bonuses, so users can compare gear more accurately and spot hidden overlap faster.
Currently supported crafting/upgrade/augment systems (more being actively worked on):
• Color/Sun/Moon Augments
• Filigrees/Minor Artifacts
• Curses
• GoMF set bonus selector
• Essence Crafting (will be updating post-U81)
• Nearly Finished / Almost There / Finishing Touch
• Ritual Table
• Lost Purpose
• Trace of Madness
• Fountain of Necrotic Might
• Stormreaver Monument
• Zhentarim Attuned
• Mythic Boost
• Reaper Forge
I've also reworked the landing page of YourDDO so that is is no longer a novella and should be somewhat more practical.
Please report any bugs found or feature requests in our Discord server (link in the OP). Hope you all find this useful.
