The Ultimate Inquisitive Past Life Getter

It shouldn't. Any inqui split should start with an arti level, which means you can run repeaters from 1-7 then switch to inqui with Ratcatcher at 8

A CC heavy repeater with double damage affixes and a damage aug or two (and festive solar and Arborea and force ritual if you're really committed) will tear up low level. 1d6s at 1, then I think 2d6s are at 4 or 5

Also take precision asap for AF, since obv that RP stacking blows everything else out of the water

Well it did... well sort of... I think...

Having thought about it some more we were running R1 for levelling and didn't have many (if any) reaper points so it is probably that more than anything. We are like 6 lives or so in now so it's hard to remember exactly.

About two years ago, I made standard melee/ranged equipment sets for levels 4, 8, 12, and 15/16, plus a much improved standard set for level 20. These worked very well for various dagger configurations, but dagger configurations require me to enter melee range. Your configuration solves my last two problems--staying out of melee range and running evil classes without bothering to run evil classes.

I will heed your advice and acquire all 6 Ranger Past Life Feats first. My avatar already has some Epic Past Life Feats but more damage is always helpful. I will heed droid327's advice and craft repeaters with Snowpeaks and Meteor gems for very low levels. Ratcatcher is already in the bank from my existing Inquisitive.

PS: Greater Color Spray is an absolute MUST when doing mid-high reaper solo... but it's pure awesome when you run with a TR group

not racials or iconics.. but for heroic, & epics its da bomb.. Also, Inquis adapts to literally any situation quite nicely since the advantages continue to build fairly linear as you progress and arent really dependant on anything else.

The main ones are the standard Ranger lives since that gives +2 to ranged damage. Monk is another good one since that adds +1 to damage so that is up to +9 damage with those 6 lives. One could argue for Dark Hunter since that gives extra Sneak Attack damage.

You don't have enough Dexterity to get Improved Precise Shot not without use of an ability score increase and +8 tomes.

Upon further thought, I would prioritize on three Ranger Past Life Feats and then knock out the rest of the evil classes. The eventual need to acquire Iconic Past Life Feats interferes with the ability to take Class Past Life Feats at will.

Ive always prefered maxing out iconics 1st.. then doing whatevers left of heroics AFTER.. that way you don't get stuck messing with the same class twice

How so? You can double dip with Iconics since you get the Iconic past life along with the class at the same time.

Stoner81.

Each Iconic character absolutely requires a specific class at level 1. For example, a Purple Dragon Knight must take Fighter at level 1. Let us say I use your configuration to gain three Fighter past life feats. Later, I decide to obtain the Purple Dragon Knight past life feats. Now I have a dilemma. I must start with Fighter at level one on each of those go rounds but I must not take so many Fighter levels as to make it a Fighter for past life feat purposes. It becomes messy. As HoopleHead alludes, it is easier to run a Purple Dragon Knight as a proper Fighter.

For me, the past life feat system is confusing, full of land mines, and downright dangerous. When I made 9 Iconic go rounds, the entire process was awful from start to finish. I quit DDO at least 6 times it was so terrible. I do not want to put myself in a position where I badly bork my avatar yet again.

Your configuration offers lots of promise for me. I just need to make very careful choices when choosing which past life feats to obtain. That is not a fault of your design.

...but they can overcome that limitation by reincarnating with a +1 Lesser Heart of Wood.

That costs money much better spent on far more important things. It also requires a huge amount of time to make and then remake your character, and if it is done even slightly wrong...borked.

I am happy for people like you who can afford such things. Sincerely. You keep the game running. I cannot. I need to be extremely careful because mistakes cannot be corrected and are extremely painful.
