My bad, I did not realise that the goal of the VIPLP was to make non-subs whine like little babies. Under that premise it's a very well designed system!
If you ever play solo I recommend 15 druid / 5 dragon lord. Strength based with charisma trance. T5 in dragon lord. T4 in natures protector.
15 druid grants the heal spell. It's very nice to have heal on a high dps, very tanky character that can cc everything that is cc'able
What they are calling it is irrelevant. The outcome is what matters. Adding strong/valuable rewards at 5 year sub will not make turn a non-vip to a vip. It will far more likely make them play something else.
Oh man. Shared grind is desperately needed, the situation for alts is getting worse and worse each year.
I just don't think RXP should be a part of it. It's the quintessential endgame-grind that should stay strictly character specific to encourage players to push all their characters and not...
Well you have not really explained the problem with having to log on to get a reward for logging on. It's a standard practice and not controversial in any way.
The problem you describe would not be elivated by what is asked for to any significant degree. An endless reward track will be a disaster even if you don't have to log on to get the reward.
Well then you might as well tilt at windmills because providing a reward for logging in is not an actual problem. It is in fact perfectly reasonable and a good design.
What makes the reward program bad is the endless reward track. That is what causes both the "FOMO" and the "meh" and will make...
If you subscribe to Netflix but don't watch anything for a few months you don't get free months added to your account when you finally get back on.
What you are gettint at is basically a trade-off between encouraging logging in and encouraging staying subbed when not playing. I would much...
Where I am from it would be completely absurd to buy a plane ticket, miss the flight and show up a month later and expect to be able to board.
But you don't pay for the items. A part of the transaction to get the items is logging in.
The free code was great. It still removed value from VIP. That is the stated reason behind the "VIP Loyalty program" to begin with. The problem is that the VIPLP does not come close to make up for what was lost and structure of the system is inherently bad and will create massive problems over time.
If you buy tickets to a show and don't show up, do you expect to get a refund?
If you want the reward you failed to earn by not logging in you can still get it by resubbing. If at that point you only sub for a month and miss out on the 12m discount that is, again, on you.
Still, encouraging log on is perfectly reasonable. To get the rewards you have to pay for VIP AND log on. It's perfectly clear at the point of purchase that that's whats required. Out of all the problems with this system, requiring players to actually log on to the game is not one of them.
