While I do (or rather did) believe in supporting DDO, I don't really feel that the "digital" goods are really worth a subscription. Especially when the cost of augment tool-kits and the like are (expletive) outrageous.

Would be a bit different if both the costs with the DDO store and the in-game Quality of Life would be improved by a sub. Unfortunately, I just don't see this happening, nor do I see the Dev's, SSG, or the owners implementing changes the players have repeatedly "asked" for...

Hence as of today, I've allowed my sub to expire...

...that's just how a subscription works. If you don't think the rewards are worth it now, why were you still paying for VIP before the upgrades?

This is always a personal choice, what is value for some is not value for others.

For myself, I am a long term VIP and I will likely keep going, simply because the game feeds my nostalgia from 40yrs ago with PnP.

I will say, with the year of the dragon promotion I have played more often then I have for a number of years. I am enjoying the cliche of a dragonborn dragonlord and as it is my first fighter class and I am enjoying that as well.

I made that change a years ago and it wasn't painful at all really. Worst part was picking the ALTS I had to lock up and trying to make sure they didn't have anything too valuable on them.

haven't spend a penny since and won't until I see the game headed in a direction that makes me want to play it.

Um. Do you not play it?

If not, why are you here?

If you do, then... well... you must WANT to play it?

Make it make sense.

Just be honest and say you wanna play and spend nothing, and still moan and groan. LOL.
