Don't worry about this anymore. I'm just going to play alone. I'm not sure why I can't find a guild to join, but it feels bad, so if you're just lookin to hurt my feelings, congratulations, you suceeded. I've just resigned myself to play alone & get what value I can out of the content I've purchased, cancel my sub & then just find another game to play.

Congratulations on running off another player.

Hello =)

as per the title, I am looking for a fun active guild that actively participates with its members.

I'm just returning to the game after being gone quite a long time (many years hehe) so I started over with a new character to relearn the game & I've spent the past couple of weeks figuring things out again.

The game is a lot more fun when you can play with other people tho, so to that end, I'm looking for a fun active guild that plays with its members. I play on a daily basis & I'm looking for other highly active players to enjoy the game with.

I'm Canadian in the EST, but play long hours, so I cover a lot of time zones. Anywhere from 2pm est to 6am est generally. Depends on what I need to do that day =)

Im a VIP & I own all the content.

Thanks for your time =)

so many views & zero replies. why does it seem so difficult to get anything started in this game?. The game is designed to be played with a party & I just want to enjoy it as such, not sure why I'm having such a hard time makin that happen =(

It seems like everyone just solo's 100% of the time, or only plays at very specific times, with very specific people on very specific characters. Like, I don't want to have to schedule an appointment to have casual fun in a video game with someone hehe

I thought maybe its my server, I don't know, but when I looked into what it would cost me to server transfer I was like YIKES!. Also not sure why the company chooses to make server transfers so prohibitive, when it definitely feels like they could do with some server merges at the very least.

it may be possible that people are reading the forums while at work ... but wait until later after work to compose a reply....

also check out the Khyber section, seems like there are some guilds posted up for recruiting

oh another idea, is if u just recently re-started, u might try creating new characters on all the servers to get the vibes of each server, u don't necessarily have to transfer if your characters are all fairly New anyways... for me, some days I like to play on this one server-world, another day some other one...but it's up to personal preference of course (y)

definitely dont want to start over on a new server. I just made a new character that is already lv22 & bought her bags, & content, etc. Maybe if this game wasn't so restrictive about transfering servers or making alts I'd consider it, but not when it costs 2495 ddo points to even move servers. stuck on khyber for now it seems =(

I'll take a look at the other link, see whats going on in there.

I get u on that

the quest content is available to u on any and all servers, so it's the bags that u mentioned that would have to be re-purchased, as for the level if u join an active guild they can likely help u level up a newbie in "no time"
just something to consider...but yah I get u on it's just sometimes generally a hassle to start over (in my case I started over many times on many servers to experience different world's "cultures" hehehe )

no thank you. I don't want to make a new character & start over & the link you gave me was dead. it was few sporadic posts from 2023 & that was about it.

feel like I just wasted money buying content for a game that no one plays anymore =(

see I was gonna recommend that too but I thought most of u went over to Argo.... heh

but yah definitely join that discord, I'm on it and check in every so often! (y)

Thanks fox, I joined discord for both but no luck yet. Its late tho, I'll try again.
Depends on what your after in a guild, if its TRing etc. Mine is very active during Australian times and most other times has people on but we are more focused on R10 and Reaper Raiding.

From the LFM panel looks like you might have found one. Good luck and have fun!
hehe not really. the guy that invited me, warned me it was just for the buffs & wasn't going to be of much help past that. When I find a guild, I will edit the top post to reflect that status & let folks know I'm no longer single hehe, but I'm most definitely still looking atm =)

Ya I chatted with him & his wife & some of the other guildies last night. They all seem very nice, but also require quite a lengthy wait to get to know you process before they will guild you. Which I understand, but also doesn't solve my immediate needs either hehe.

I also feel like this approach hurts the game tho, because y'all make new / returning players struggle solo too long. Like the amount of frustration & time wasted being lost & confused that could be solved with a lil help & direction early on, would go a long way is all I'm saying, but no one seems to care about new players. Everyone is just in their own lil static groups or running solo themselves. Makes for a very unwelcoming environment & I think you loose a lot of players that just give up before they get anywhere because they are left alone too long in the cone of silence that is this game without a guild.

This would also be less of a issue if the devs didn't make transferring servers so prohibitive & costly. So we are stuck on servers we are invested in either monetarily or time sunk, until we either get fed up & leave, or the devs decide to take pity on us & actually give us some quality of life buffs.

Rapidly getting bummed out myself I have to admit. Feel like I just wasted 200 bucks buying content for no reason.

Razordoll, the response you are experiencing makes me very sad.

Plan B: Characters accumulate power in this game by running from 1 to 30 (or 15 to 30), over and over. It takes about 75 runs to max out, kinda sorta. You are nearing the end of run number one. It feels like you have gone a long way, but you have really just scratched the surface. Starting over may seem horrible from your perspective, but if you plan on sticking with the game for the long haul, your current time investment is very small. It may be better to pull the plug on Khyber and start over on a server where people actually want to help you. Again, I know that sounds horrible. It is horrible. However, if you want that $200 investment to grow, you may need to move it to a different investment firm.

Don't let this get you down. I'm sure you have overcome much bigger hurdles in your life. This is just another hurdle. If things do not sort themselves out in the next few days...Plan B.

I hear you Sophie, I really do & I agree, I'm quite sad myself at the overwhelming lack of a response myself hehe.

I feel like I'm either forced to waste the money I have already invested in khyber, buying bags, inventory/bank space, that sorta stuff & will lose all that starting over on a new server, or strong armed into buying a server transfer for an absurd amount of money to move the character over & that still doesn't count my mules & past alts that are holding gear & goodies as well.

Like I feel like I'm damned if I do & damned if I don't & it just feels bad.

Either I stay on a dead server where I cant find anyone to play with, but have all my DDO store stuff & characters, or have to give everything up & start over PLUS lose everything I've already purchased.

It's just a dreadful choice either way isn't it?!
