  • The lag is unbearable anymore. I'll give this new 64-bit server event a go IF...IF the cosmetics look worth my time. Otherwise, I'm going to have to give DDO a break. It's just unplayable. I can't even click on basic npc quest giver dialogue to get a quest or click a door on my guild airship to change from the top deck to a lower deck. The amount of targets I cast spells on that completely whiff or have 4-5 second delayed animations or no animations is alarming. I'm just tired of all the lag issues at this point and need a break.

Funny. Just reading my own comment here from, what, nearly 10 months ago. Cormyr then is all the 64-bit servers now. Weeks, well shoot, a month now of live packing/transferring/unpacking and the servers are acting like hot garbage. SSG seems inept and incapable of fixing this. I hope I'm wrong, I honestly do, because I do love the game. But, I think I'm more frustrated and disheartened now than I was nearly a year ago. Can SSG ever get their act together and make this game enjoyable to play again? The lag and various performance issues are beyond, BEYOND! embarrassing. I want to tell friends and coworkers to come back and give DDO another try, but not now. No F'ing way I want people to know I play this hot steaming pile of doggy poo. It's too embarrassing right now. FIX THE GAME SSG! PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF VOL!!!

This might actually be the end of DDO. I can't see them recovering from this mess if they don't fix it soon. They are bleeding longtime customers, and many of us here on the forums giving our reports on the lag/performance are considering leaving the game. It's a real shame as we all want this game to be great, we love it, but the cluster-F that it is right now is driving us away. I don't know if we'll see a 20th anniversary at this rate. It's really that bad and you have to wonder if/when the EG7 and Daybreak overlords will intervene and, sadly, start making some heads roll and some drastic changes. SSG, you should be fighting for your jobs right now, with all you've got, because this isn't good. You've got one job: make a fun game that works. You've failed. It's not "you're failing". It's "you've already failed". Now, what is SSG going to do about it? Probably just give us more coupon codes. Codes are great, but only if the game works.

DDO is currently on hospice, bed ridden, in a coma and on life support. I don't know if there is any hope.
