According to the Producer's Letter, presale for the expansion is intended to begin in June, i.e. the last month of Q2.

Yes. Every full size expansion since Masterminds of Sharn has had a new race, and an Iconic version of that race included with higher tiers; furthermore, there have been mentions of a new race at the PAX afterparty and during last week's Fridays at Four.
I'm not so sure about people saying it's going to be Bullywug - it doesn't make all that much sense for the setting, and I can't find any dev comments suggesting Bullywug either.

agreed. It's fun and quick for a staff build, but it looks as if the animators watched way too many cartoons when they were designing the anims.
In general, they are always late on target dates. Alot of games are. Seems to be a thing in the gaming industry.

It's rare that the release of an expansion gets delayed - Vecna Unleashed was something of an exception in that regard.
As I've mentioned before, "well into Q2" is a bit pushing it - we're not even halfway yet, and the original estimate of a preorder date was June.

I really hope it isnt Bullywug.
I hope its Kobold I really do. And that Draconic Disciple will be a sorcerer iconic or archetype. But theres loads of options they have. Goblin, Goliath, Satyr, Githzerai/Githyanki, Kalashtar. Not to mention Hexblood, Dhampir and Reborn from Ravenloft

I hate to say it but being a Greyhawk kid, many of these races are relatively foreign to me. 
Some of these could be pretty neat, and some... well not so much. I love the idea of kolbolds as a player race, but I suspect that could/would be a can of worms. Would be neat to have one as a hireling option though (maybe a wild-magic sorcerer/shaman kolbold?!?)

Elves, mostly. The other four "default" FR races (humans, dwarves, halflings, gnomes) get a look in, but the line on the Forgotten Realms wiki describing it as "the pinnacle of Elven culture" is a bit of a giveaway.
Hopefully we don't just get fobbed off with another Elf variant. That seems unlikely, though, since Myth Drannor is mostly associated with High Elves and Wood Elves, and we've already got both of those. (I'd settle for Eladrin, who also get mentioned in the FR Wiki overview since Myth Drannor contained a number of portals to the Feywild - at least they get cool elemental / emotion based powers.)

Other than the usual Elves (Moon and Noble), there are Eladrin. Lizardfolk are another possibility (as they are native to Toril/the Forgotten Realms).
Another possibility is Githyanki, with the popularity of Lae'zel from BG3. Duergar are also a possible since the sculpts, textures, and animations are already in the code.
A longshot would be Saurial, as Dragonbait is a prominent character in Curse of the Azure Bonds and is Alias's longtime companion. Could be Illithid, too if the Slice of Life adventure was a teaser of having an Illithid option.
