Additional sadness: Partner just logged in and his main is gone. Character he spent over 3000 (thanks steam game time tracker) hours on vanished overnight. I hope CS gets him his character back after all the time and money he's spent on that character/this game. Why/how does this even happen?

3h, 45 min later, finally could log back in on the character. Unfortunately without my partner, I won't be playing though. He's said if he won't be able to get back everything that vanished, he's gone. Absolutely refuses to rebuild and I can't blame him. This game has a mountain of grind and who would want to go through the effort to all for it to be taken away randomly?
