I didn't think Treasure Hunter applied to the additional reaper/mythic boosts on loot, only a higher roll on the base effects?

I know there was some debate on this a few years ago, but I don't recall what the final word was.

Unless there is an item effect called "Named", this bonus does not do what you think it does.

As far as I know, the only bonus/effects that increase the chances of named loot dropping are: https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Elixir_of_Discovery. Per the Wiki, those are only available from Improved Epic Otto's Irresistible Box and Gold Daily Dice and during occasional DDO Points promotions.

Higher difficulties (i.e. Elite, R1, R5, etc.) also increase the chances of named loot drops over the base Normal difficulty.

Everything other than running on higher difficulties and the Elixirs of Discovery only increase the chances of the RNG non-named loot spawning in the chest with higher/max effects and bonuses. I think at one point, the chest blessing thing from Mark of Finding used to increase the actual level of the chest, thus resulting in higher ML RNG loot but even that got changed to increase the quality of the RNG loot effects instead.

In other words, all the "Treasure Hunter" type bonuses are mostly a garbage newbie trap. They're only good for true newbie players, people who intentionally run a toon with an RNG loot gearset instead of named stuff, or farming RNG stuff to sell for plat.

IME TH weekend significantly increases the rate of reaper bonuses on items

Elixirs of Discovery affect the chances of named items dropping.

Treasure Hunter Elixirs (which stack with the Treasure Hunter weekend bonus) affect the chance of getting higher bonuses on any item, including mythic and reaper bonuses.

Regardless, even if they did say that, I feel comfortable saying they're demonstrably wrong

My rates of Reaper items are qualitatively higher during Treasure Hunter weekend, and anecdotally many others have reported the same thing.

I just opened ~16 chests (one full ransack, two non-ransacked) with a +10 potion running alongside the bonus, no rerolls, and pulled 2 Reaper pieces. Almost every chest also contained a filigree, with an unusually high number of rares.

Good info. Guess I should dust off those stacks of Treasure Hunter Elixirs sitting on bank mules and give this a go.

I do love those loot bonus weekends. Back in my day we use to have +1 or +2 chest level loot bonuses!
