falconry capstone DfA recharge

Supposedly the capstone lets you recharge DfA using bird attacks.

How often, and how reliable is this recharge, if I am pretty much exclusively using bird attacks and filling in the gaps with pew pew arrows?

Been a few lives since I've used it, but I recall it being pretty reliable-as if not more more reliable than recharging Trance uses. It's probably similar, maybe 33-50% chance.
