Feels like Something is Wrong

The recent brutal downtime and the new errors seem like the game is in trouble. The new monthly reward has not been fixed in days and they broke the guild-ship teleports and have not fixed them? Is there anyone paying attention over there?

I hope something "feels wrong" so the devs spend just a little more time on QA before deploying the next update

They simply (re)moved all QA staff so unless something is put on lamania it gets zero* (0) testing whatsoever. Recent examples include but not limited to runearm changes, runearm ui changes, ship teleport changes, dragonlord enhancements, ravager enhancements etc etc. The list goes on and on. Every update there's bugs that you can see with a naked eye five minutes into gameplay.

Things are just put on live with zero (0) test beforehand.

* I doubt things are even tested by the developer coding them before being inserted into the build.
** I am not implying they actually listen to feedback on lamania or even fix bugs on lamania but that's another story.

well, yes & no & it'll be alright & doom.

also, this is the state of budget development, im not saying all games are like this, just that if you write a bunch of changes and you're product is generally ok, folks will hang around if they're entertained, but tolerance for issues has risen...mostly b/c that means we get more new stuff more often....but mostly doom & if they'd triple the price of the next expansion they may have enough cash to find a group of players to give them literally hundreds of pages of feedback, then weigh if its cost-effective to make a change based on feedback, then rake in the cash!

i'm pretty sure most folks who work at ssg are crazy rich, probably swimming in gold doubloon in their at home vault right now ;)

I'm thinking the bit off way more than they can chew with the staffing levels they have. The VIP changes and Year of the Dragon probably sounded simple enough to management. Unfortunately they probably ended up with key resources jumping between those 2 things and changes needed for Myth Drannor, rushing to get things done. Throw in server issues also jacking up the schedule.

Add in the other minor tweaks they are doing, no wonder stuff is getting missed. So much rushing by and touching stuff that sounds easy do, but forgetting all of the layers of interconnected shortcuts taken over the years to get stuff out the door.

Thankfully someone there was smart enough to realize how mid or buggy HCX would end up and they kicked the can on doing that this year. Hopefully they reallocate the resources and spend the time to make sure Myth isn't a complete cluster on launch versus hitting a made up release date.
