Gaming improvement suggestion

Just a suggestion, but while focusing on new classes and archetypes is nice, what about offering opportunities for alternative play-styles?
Like stealth or summoner/summoning/pets? One of my favorite groupings was when we used to do all stealth/rogue shrouds. They literally never saw us coming.
And people have been asking for an upgrade/improvement in summoning since druids came into DDO. It doesn't have to be OP. Perhaps create a summoner epic moment where the pets/summons/hires get to shine briefly.
There are other play-styles that can be improved as well. Like zerging. Make quicker quest completion times offer a small bonus. The faster you finish the higher the bonus. Like a +1/2/3 to the loot table. Or flower sniffer style. Doing all the optionals gets you the same bonus to loot as zergers. These are just off the cuff ideas to make DDO great again. ;)

I was under the impression dagger rogues continue to be a very well supported all the way through Reaper Mode 10.

I was also under the impression that characters can stack enough upgrades to make summoner type characters a cake walk through Reaper Mode 5 or so. Chai made that assertion a few months back and I believe him.

The best rewards already go to players who rush dungeons by a gigantic margin.

Perhaps it would help if your define what 'supported' means to you.

I have no desire to completely denigrate your idea. In my experience, this game offers very few viable character play style options. For example, there are many ways to build a two handed weapon wielding character but they all play the same. There are many ways to build a ranged character but they all play the same. And so on. I would enjoy some new character options that plays radically different from what already exists. Perhaps we are in agreement there?

.....

I agree with Miss Savage that optional quest objectives, the kind that require significant deviations from a main quest path, should offer better rewards, experience or otherwise. I suspect that will never happen because group players would simply divide and conquer to increase experience per minute. Oh well.

Summoners are garbage because the AI is garbage. Yeah the lv 30 werewolf is beefy and hits for 500+, but he spends 90% of his time maneuvering around the enemy, not actually attacking.

They keep adding enhancements and filigrees and such that buff up summons/pets/hirelings, but none of it matters. If my PM skeleton hit for 3k he'd still be as useful as he is now other than maybe n/h quests. They really need to scrap the whole system and figure out a better way.

The only summons that don't completely suck are the primal avatar t5 ones. And that's because they're stationary so their AI sucking doesn't do quite as much damage. Maybe make other stuff work the same way? Have summon monsters be FF style, come out for a big hit and leave.

They REALLY need to fix that circling issue, along with the archer zigzag. AI is so confused these days, changes its mind on where it wants to go every half second.
