How to LR/ER an iconic into an archetype

Some people get confused or don't know the method to LR/ER an iconic's base class into an archetype. This can be done with a LR+0 heart (at 15+) or an ER (at 30+). The method requires you to select your class type instead of "iconic" on the character creation screen. If you miss this step during the creation section then you'll be locked into the base class and not archetype by mistake. Here's a video showing how it works:

Same method used to remove the default level if you use a lesser + heart. You need to select the class you want rather than selecting iconic.

Be careful when ETRing an Archtype, it's easy enough as mentioned above to un-archtype your character which can mess your heroic TR up.

He's talking about swapping from standard to Archtype. Say if you are a PDK and thus already a Fighter you can at no point pick up the DL Archtype without doing this. If you are just looking to get a quick Archtype TR in then yes taking one junk level as an Archtype not related to tgat ckass and then moving to what you actually want for the rest is perfectly viable.

Someone on the community discord was confused and stressed about how to LR successfully into an archetype so I made the video to explain it (they didn't want to mess things up and waste the heart doing it wrong). Posted it here too just to help others and have an easy future link to share for anyone who needs help with it. If you're not doing LR/ER where you need to change the level 1 default class to an archetype then this thread is neither here nor there for you.
