Possible 'easy' solution for clickies

Problems often come up when trying to equip items that allow you to cast an effect and then switch back to regular gear.

What if the game instead included an option to cast the effect w/o actually equipping the item, but increased the casting time to simulate the equipping and unequipping process?

Currently, when casting a spell that has multiple possible results (e.g. Teleport), you can drag one of those results to a hotbar and then use that hotbar slot to cast the particular version of the spell. If clicking on a piece of gear which has a castable effect were to work similarly, showing options to 'equip/unequip' or 'cast', then you could drag the 'cast' option to a hotbar and click it to cast the effect. If already equipped then it works normally. If not, then it takes extra time to 'equip/cast/unequip', but doesn't actually have to switch your equipment around. Would work with wands and scrolls as well.

Seems like a great idea.

That would require a check to wear it and/or a check for UMD.
No idea how hard that is to code.

I'm also in favor of clickies that don't use any gear slot at all. Like the harper pin for example and the eternal potions. Saves a lot of hassle and makes for decent loot.
