Purple maggots

I'm not a new player, but thought this might be the best place to ask. I have an epic q-staff monk, running mainly GMoF. I keep spouting purple maggots. I gather from others in PUGs that this is a known problem. Is it fixable?

That's a visual effect from GMoF's mantle. Pretty sure they're supposed to be feathers, not maggots.

Y'know, that makes significantly more sense. I swore it was just using a recolor of the Featherfall effect though.

They ARE purple maggots. Most have thought until now that they were feather petals, but maggots are maggots.
