Would it be possible to make stances that rquire being centered a "While you're being centered"-deal and not "You have to be centered"? Because often enough, someone saps your strength, then your equipment gets too heavy, and then you have to toggle on elemental stances and such again, and it's an inconvenience at best and forgotten at worst.
