I think it really exemplifies the madness of what we are doing

So basically all of this is nonsense, getting same pattern as a previous success did not have same combination.

I did one where the floor broke on the last pull, but the gate opened as well. DDoor then some boost like abundant step, spring attack, etc, will let you get in the room in that scenario. Sadly, the gate only opens with all 6 pulled, it stays closed if the floor breaks early.

Dangit, I was really hoping for SOME meaningful way to actually solve this "puzzle" beyond dumb luck. 😢

The semi-rng encountered on the way to it was a good hypothesis and something a human could comprehend and parse, even though it's more "meta-game" than reliable clues or such, but even that isn't enough it seem. *sad panda*

Confused. This has always been known to be random as to which opens it. Has something been officially announced it changed?

Anyway, for those who want to play along, I think it goes like this;
The mobs leading up to the puzzle are either stone golems (Earthy), rust monsters (Rusty), or both (Mixie)
There then may (Breaky) or may not (Smoothy) be a pit
There also may (Button) or may not (Smoothy) be a button
Finally, there are two trap boxes which will be located in up to four places; before the puzzle (Frontie), the wall to the left of the puzzle (Wally), on the puzzle wall (Wheelie), or inside the room past the gate (Innie)

The puzzle wheels are then designated by their clock positioning; 12 at the top, then clockwise 2, 4, 6 at the bottom, 8, and 10. The center wheel always has to be turned first and thus isn't listed.

If you keep going past the puzzle turnoff, there is another possible pit. might need to add in a few of the other random things in the quest to figure it all out. and if there are teleporter traps, etc.

we were hoping the Devs were not so cruel to put an Invader behind a massive RNG check and maybe we were wrong the whole time
Since it delays unlocking the new quest, SSG would likely consider it a success.

Bonus: more people get to participate by running and re-running a single quest.

Never mind that SSG says re-running the same thing is bad and added mechanics to discourage the behavior.
