Ranged options?

I never noticed before as my first life as a Sacred Fist was as a Drow, but Sacred Fists aren't naturally proficient with the Shuriken, but every other ranged weapon makes you uncentered.

What am I supposed to do for long-range attack options, or hitting a distant lever?

Later on, when you get Flame Wave, you just have to wait for the burnination to reach your enemies, but it's still a LOT faster than plinking at them with any ranged weapon you could find.

You can hit a lever and uncenter yourself for half a second. Also, nothing stops you from equipping a shuriken, you'll just have to deal with proficiency problems, but wielding shuriken you're not proficient with doesn't uncenter you.

You can still use shurikens. They are monks weapons regardless of proficiency.
