Ravager Imbue barbarian isn't great, but untyped damage can be handy ~ Imbue Barbarian Build

Gooood morning and hello young people of the world. It is I, Strimtom, and today I bring you an idea. When imbues we're added to the game several abilities that used to add flat damage became imbues, and the barbarian gained the frenzy imbue dealing untyped damage. The scaling isn't great compared to other melee imbues, but that got me thinking... the new psionic thralls resist all damage except untyped, so maybe this imbue has a place. So I got to work and whipped up something here. The result? See for yourself.


So the real question, is it good?

No, not really. It has a lot of flaws.
  • The imbue has 100% scaling instead of 200% like the paladin or rogue imbues, leaving it behind.
  • In situtations where you have enemy prr/mrr reduced you gain no extra damage.
  • It's a lot of investment that would be better spent in other places to gain damage since TWF barb isn't half bad on it's own.
I did learn that quick cutter is better than expected. It's not adrenaline and it can't compete, but it did a sizable amount of damage and I was surprised by how much damage it did. If the devs made a change so that you could always maintain quick in combat I think the attack would be significantly better and be considered for use.

So what did we learn here? If you want untyped damage, get a druid/sorcerer/alchemist with ruin, don't get a barbarian (but it was fun!)
