Runearms nerf

As a long time pure artificer player, the only kind that actually makes use of runearms firing shots that is, I really want to ask.

What was the reasoning behind the runearm nerf? Were you, the devs, worried that suddenly with the new destiny we would have an influx of sorcerers and favoured souls running around using runearms to kill everything? Did you worry that all those artificer splash builds would suddenly care about runearm shots?

Electrical storm was made obselete, leash no longer carries on moving, all the 'multiple shot' ones are bugged but I'm actually worried they are not bugged and it's wai they fizzle constantly. Yes you fixed light spirals but literally nobody was using that because artificers don't care about light damage at all. Also the only good light spiral runearm was Tira's and that's in heroic for the side effects. They care about lightning damage and you killed those. It's not like you had arties running around doing crazy runearm damage. Heck, most arti casters didn't use runearms at all before charged recoil and even now, you have to use exploding cannon shot (hint, not electric) to hit multiple targets with that. The only arties that cared about runearm damage were before the off hand versatility nerf and that was 'fixed'. As in, neutered.

This feels like the sonic blast nerf all over again. We're gonna introduce this and just in case, we'll kill this other thing by pretending we're buffing it.
