I find great value in my VIP subscription.
I'll close my commentary on this topic on this. I am paying an annual subscription of $99 which turns in just over $8.00 per month. That is a pretty low-cost investment for the entertainment that SSG offers in DDO, a game I truely love.

VIP Value: (I'm sure I'm leaving a few things out)
- Gold roll, weekly
- Extra bank space
- Elite opener on your main server (not just Hardcore)
- Ability to play any race
- Added content in updates are included at no additional cost
- All in game content is available for VIPs to access w/the subscription price. (Exception - expansion packs)
- Discounts on expansions
- 500 DDO points per month
- 10% run speed in public spaces
- 5% XP bonus
- 1% buddy bonus inside quests
- All of the above plus the fact that I get to play in a D&D environment.

The only real problem I have with VIP is the proliferation of expansions instead of adventure packs. I mean, when MoTU was released, it was a huge content pack, so it was reasonable to call it an expansion and make everyone, including VIPs, to pay for it. Nowadays some "expansions" like Saltmarsh or Isle of Dread seem more like a bundle of an adventure pack and a universal tree, the latter seemingly an excuse for branding the former as an expansion.
