which doesn't stack with those orbs and 9% crit from past lives for fire/cold/acid/elec/sonic and the Sharn orbs basically exist to compensate null and radiant for lacking energy criticals while additionally hard restricting gear slots for neg/poison/light casters.
Those orbs are the opposite of a boon, they're a crutch to prop up the system poorly supporting those elements while also restricting the gearsets for those elements and with how gearsets are so fixated around stacking multiple set bonuses the sharn orb situation and SSG refusing to make more recent alternatives is leaving those elements in a bad spot.

We just need a new epic past life toggle that does radiance/etc. crit the same way energy criticals does. =)

probably won't get that without the orbs being overhauled, which really would be for the best; two items from a single expansion (which is gradually being outscaled as the level cap grows) with no real alternatives isn't healthy - I have tried to bring it up occasionally whenever some higher content is getting gear previewed. Additionally the fact that radiant and void are conflicting each other on an important stat causes issues for Dark Apostates and Abyss warlocks which would ideally want both elements covered.

Additionally the entire situation kind of leaves force out entirely which is just missing 8-9% crit every other element has access to. It used to be a negligible issue because archmage was bugged and giving way too much force crit and was the only force caster at the time - but that's been fixed and force is gradually expanding and may expand further as we see more archetypes.

Aiiyee .. no .. just expand the existing one to "3% crit chance per life" rather than limiting it to elemental only. Many caster builds do have a favorite type of damage they focus on more than the rest, but that doesn't mean they never cast outside the specialty; a new one would mean you'd have to pick and choose .. well .. unless it wasn't in the arcane sphere -- non-arcane sphere would work.
