What filigrees are good for low power ranged characters?

@Sophie The Cat Burglar - are you using any imbues? You can rack up imbue dice fast with filigrees.

Also, artifacts drop like candy. They end up cluttering inventory and personal bank, and either end up as food or bank brag. I mean, using artifacts is a very edge case outside of dino gear (which is crazy with the flexibility dino artifacts have). I can usually find a gear-tetris option that works better without an artifact; they exist largely for the 3 slots and filigrees for me. I have only ~3 (non dino) artifacts I use, and pretty much most of the vecna boots. Vecna boots are surprisingly versatile.

Hello Scrag!

Imbues make no sense to me and I am playing like they do not exist. That is my solution for many life issues. :D

When playing, I find artifacts somewhat regularly. At first, I treated them like precious things for collecting. Later, I realized they are evil tribbles that gobble up storage space and gave them the heave ho.

Artifacts are very hard to use. However, my super duper generic melee equipment set (it is mediocre) can use the Perfected Golden Guile or a Dinosaur Bone Artifact Ring.

Problem 1: Finding a Nebula Fragment is like winning Powerball and Threads of Fate are completely out of my reach.

Problem 2: I do not own the Isle of Dread.

Problem 3: Other artifacts cause me to lose something really important.

I continue to waffle on purchasing the Isle of Dread or giving up something important.

Then maybe this could work for you? ...
Necklace: Key of Rhukaan Draal

- Blue Augment Slot:
- Green Augment Slot:
- Yellow Augment Slot:

Dragavon, I would like to thank you again for taking the time to work up an equipment list for my Mechanic. After a week of hunting, I was able to finish equipment for my Inquisitive, find all but one piece for another character, and find about half of the pieces for my Mechanic.

I also discovered that the Key of Rhukaan Draal works with my melee equipment set, solving that artifact problem.

None of this is optimum and I have yet to find a Key, but things are improving.

Dragavon, you are going way above the call of duty and I sincerely appreciate all the time you are taking to help me. If I can ever do anything for you, please let me know.

Thank you again! I will head back to Ravenloft and start hunting.
Dont think about it.

You have amused us with your stories about Sophie and Vexa for many years, and I have always enjoyed all of them. I am more than happy to help you with this, if you had played on Orien I would have helped you farm items too 🥰

Get dread. Artifacts drop like candy, they can be upgraded to do whatever mysterious thing you could ever want, are reasonable to get at least one or two dino effects with minimal effort. Check this:

Dino crafting for the win

It just takes a bunch of bones, but bones drop between 4-7 (one type) in a chest, or 4-7 (two types) depending on that chest. Rare runs through dread wilderness nets a good bit of bones if you go with a team, and pearls can be had by killing the demon and dragon on a team. The demon can be solo'd on a reasonably tough/damaging character.
