It is so annoying to die because of this. Can this be changed to go unconscious instead or 1 hp ???

Meh, it happens to everyone at least once. My first time I swapped out an item that had my CON bonus on it and that dropped my HP low enough to die. Everyone in my party laughed (including me) and called me a noob (including me) and I learned. I have seen a few "end of rage" deaths as well and they never cease to entertain. Don't let yourself get that low on HP is the only sure way to prevent this.

Happened to me the other day on my L5 wiz. Got incapacitated, rolled a 1 so bleeding stopped but the bears endurance wore off before i revived. Immedietly bought a CON augment and sopped using bears.

Same thing can happen if you refresh shipbuffs at low hp since the game strips all effects before adding fresh effects.

Just one of the reasons to be careful with rage or other temporary effects.
