(Cordovan posted earlier on another thread) We are currently working on a hotfix that is expected to include downtime later today. This hotfix will correct a crashing issue in addition to several other bugs. Release notes will be published later. We are currently targeting sometime on or after 3pm Eastern (-5 GMT) for the downtime.

Why does it take ~4 hours to apply a hotfix patch? Are SSG using a serial cable to transfer the new build?

I guess (I hope) they are also doing some tests on actual live servers before making them available to public plus additional maintance?
They are usually ready about 1 hour earlier, so if it said 4 hours, then 3 is highly possible (at least most last times I tried).

It probably doesn't barring any "issues". I suspect these times are padded to make sure Murphy's Law isn't in effect (and appropriate if it is).
