Does a FVS still need the appropriate amount of Wisdom for spells if Charisma is the higher stat?

You can pretty much treat WIS as a dump stat if you're building around CHA.

Favored Souls can use either wisdom or charisma. From the wiki:

• To learn and cast a spell, a Favored Soul must have a Charisma or Wisdom score equal to at least 10 + spell level.

It used to be that FvS spellpoints and access to X level spells were based on Charisma, but spell DCs were Wisdom. SSG did away with that several years ago and now everything is based on Wis or Cha, whichever one is higher.

I've run several FvS builds and 1 ben to CHA is Turn Undead if you want to liven them

I prefer using wisdom. That way you can use the same gear as a cleric. And a high will save is not bad.

I prefer Wisdom too. I was looking at adding 2+ levels of Paladin to a build for Divine Grace.

I prefer using wisdom charisma. That way you can use the same gear as a cleric sorcerer. And a high will save is not bad with Force of Personality. Plus, you know, you look great.
