Not sure if this link works here but I was toying around with Ki Bolt in Draconic mantle and was startled with results. I bumped my fire spell power and crit and killed a red Triceratops Bull with one Ki Bolt: Character level 32, monk level 18, mp 191, fire sp 471, fire crit chance 27. The last 3 damages were from the mantle DOT.
(Combat): You begin to cast Ki Bolt at level 24.
(Combat): You hit Triceratops Bull for 572 points of force damage
(Combat): You hit Triceratops Bull for 518 points of fire damage
(Combat): You hit Triceratops Bull for 275 points of fire damage
(Combat): Spell Crit! Your Ki Bolt has greater effect!
(Combat): You hit Triceratops Bull for 17,598 points of fire damage
(Combat): You hit Triceratops Bull for 8,796 points of fire damage.
(Combat): You hit Triceratops Bull for 8,910 points of fire damage
(Combat): You killed Triceratops Bull.
