Sap is really good in heroics; Sap has no save, so you can sap a champ and leave it while you burn down other stuff etc, its a very good cc to lock down 1 mob.
In epics I may not need it anymore so I might lesser sap away for either tactics or focus or specialization once I hit 20;

Also, originally i thought Id use orchid blossom as my epic strike, but quick cuts from fury is very strong, so I changed my build slightly dropping shadowdancer and picked up the epic strike from Fury. Really strong so far in low epics. Using GMoF mantle for knockdown immunity + other stuff, and the HOT from US.

Do you just use the summoned weapons?
Yeah, from 1-32 will use the conjured feysword. If I had the fey raid shortsword I'd use it bc I could slot it with filigrees etc and a stone - I may craft a dinosaur shortsword with ice horn for the freeze etc. but since this is just a first impressions build I'm still ironing things out - but so far the short sword bursts fine my dmg in heroics was massive - in epics with quick cuts its been massive too.

To be fair, a blind, one-armed character could do just fine 1-20 with FI. It's just that strong. Short sword solves all incorporeal and ooze-related problems for life, and GCS just trivializes 90% of content. Even Strimtom as a joke, levelled a Charisma Ranger using FI, and flew through the content. I'm not sure it's a good benchmark for how powerful DL is though.

I'm also curious to see how THF, TWF, or SWF with bastard sword / Daxe builds go with Dragonlord, as well as various splashes.

I'm currently running a pure DL (lvl 17 right now) using b-sword SWF. Crit is 17-20/x4. Because of all the Ravager tree bugs, I'm only running the improved power attack enhancement from that tree and have prioritized the DL and Sentinel trees.

Performance is roughly on par with a regular fighter, and if they fix the ravager tree, it will probably dps somewhere between fighter and barbie.

The big difference is the Dragon Roar enhancement. It works on almost every mob. My tactic is to run up to a mob group, hit roar and then kill them all before they come out of daze or cower. If I was THF, I'm sure my damage output would be higher, but haven't checked that on this life.

And the displacement enhancement is insane.

Its defo gonna be worse than fighter without a doubt dps wise? No Kensei no deeps. It wouldnt make sense if DL had kensei like deeps cuz its more of a supportive fighter

That may depend on the situation. DL has the ability to stun for helpless damage or many different types of mobs with an added +20% helpless damage. Depending on the situation that may be more dps than Kensai.

DL also gets the str trance for more dps and has full +2 crit mult.

Sorry for the noob question... As a CHA-based character, what feat/enhancement gives you the CHA bonuses to hit and damage?

Edit: OK, I see it comes from the illusory weapon in FI. But the conjured weapon is a short sword... Do the Vistani skills work for short swords?

There are a ton of "generic things" in Vistani, like the PRR/MRR, haste boost, doublestrike/doubleshot, etc that work for anyone. It is a very solid addition to a lot of melee builds.

Playing this as a human with my son playing a dark hunter dagger build. So far we just pretty much mow through everything we run. CC stuff and most of it is dead before it can do anything. Early levels damage seemed pretty slow due to no AOE.

I have done variations on this build a few times now based on feat selection, not on fey weapon. It seems a fairly standard high success ratio option, sprinkle with flavor.

PDK also gives cha tohit damage as well, plus bonus tactics and damage.

I do this with ignition because that sword is bonkers.

I skipped sap and grabbed precision instead. Duoing with a character that has AE attacks. Seems to work. Not running high difficulty just doing racial past lives.

Anyone tried DragonLord as a pure tank? Foes that even work or is it vastly inferior to paladina or stalwart fighters?

I am. Took improved shield mastery, taking perfect and specialty shield mastery, tactics, heavy armor mastery, and thf -> greater + perfect. Right now I am super tanky.

Downside? I don't have that awesome self heal that fighters get. I need a healbot or something. I am sturdy enough to be completely overwhelmed by enemies and fight my way through with pathetic damage. I have high confidence in this long term.

I am heavy in stalwart and 41 in dlord, with a smattering in pdk.

Interesting. But don't all fighters including DL get Second Wind automatically? or am I misreading how they get sec wind...?

Also, your moves on Epic Destinies? Going all in Leg Dreadnought and sentinel?
