Is it alright if we registered as our main toon name? I guess I'm being told I was supposed to use my launcher login name or my form account name from the previous forms? (They did not match) Hopefully I do not get my name automatically changed...

Looking into it. Probably related to DNS propagation and other work being done, but we'll see.

You can register using any name you want to unless you are deliberately trying to take someone else's name. Reminder that your Forum Display Name has no bearing on your account credentials.

Adjusting the in-browser zoom from 100 to 90% seems to make the forums interface and white lines and such be a bit easier on the eyes. I like the quick reply. Software seems good! But I was missing my fiend-blood troll avatar, I liked the old stock avatars :( @Cordovan maybe you could throw up a zipped archive with them?

How do I bump an old forum post on the new forums - is there a way to get an old forum thread ported over, or do we start a new thread on similar topic afresh? 🤔

Slides into new forums.

Much shinier than the old ones I'll give it that. Though I do kinda miss the amount of history I had with having an account all the way back from 2009 on the other.

I am glad all the old threads are gone. So much of that info and guides were obsolete and just caused confusion.

@Cordovan I know that we'll need time to get used to the new forums, but there are some UX problems that maybe help:

  • Staff member tag: not enough contrast to read it properly. Light grey background is the issue because low hierarchy, so it's easy to miss when you scroll down. (red or not a bright yellow will work great)
  • No hierarchy: It's difficult to read through the threat due to no font, color, and padding hierarchy. Solving this is more tricky and requires time, but at least softening the white line and increasing the margin between posts and post text padding will help)
  • All Bold: Font weight is 600! It's bad to read and communicate with bold text. Segoe isn't the best font, but at least increase size to 16px and reduce font weight
