New VIP Loyalty Reward Plan ... Thoughts ?

Will this encourage you to resubscribe? Or be a new subscriber? or is this meh-sauce?

The description isn't clear if you get to keep your vip sparkles and cloud mount if you turn VIP off. Could a dev clarify what happens there? Cloud mount looks cool though.

Pretty poor overall. Nothing really jumps out as a "must have". Some can be acquired in game anyway or for less money on the ddo store. Another mount? But only after a year? My main has 5 mounts already. Could have had some really cool unique things here but the opportunity looks to have been largely squandered.

QOL reward that would have got me to sub if I wasnt VIP already was a "port to quest" item so you can go directly to the quest entrance. Double shared bank storage, cosmetic item bank, permanent TR bank...those took me about 12 seconds to think up, not 12 months+

It's enough to make VIP worth it. This plus all existing perks make VIP a no brainer if you play DDO a lot. For $99 for a year of VIP - 6500 DDO points, the perm 10% XP boost, saga skip, elite open, a +20 heart, special weekend boosts, extra storage, extra character slots and all the other stuff I'm not mentioning. I think that's pretty good value. People need to keep in mind this new program is in addition to existing perks, it's not meant to make VIP worth it all on its own.

I'm not sure. Plainly, is an improvement. Maybe not what some people wanted, ok, but it is more than they give now with some extras that are nice. But I don't know exactly how they are implementing it. I've been VIP for years, with a 1 year sub right now. Should I expect to get the whole package at once? And after the 12th month? Do they start over?

That makes perfect sense but the truth is they are terrified of players doing things easier because don't want people to finish the grind faster and then move on to other mmos.

Well I'm still bitter about sonic blast and fvs nerfs and cleric and and and, no hc this year?
Those gimmicks, 5+5 shared bank slots, but only while subscribed? Nah.
1% discovery, only while subscribed, useful on HC, but there is no HC this year or ever?
300 sentient exp? You kidding?
A nice mount is always nice but mine if functional and I worked for it in hc6 and 4 and paid 120€ for 2 unicorns.
TR hearts, I have like 650 tokens and enough each life for ETR, and if not, all the more reason to stay at max level and not TR.
Sov Exp 3, sure but pricey. 8 months.

What Greyhawk5 wrote.

So the reason I don't pay is not that VIP doesn't provide enough value, but that you took away things that were fun to me.
I'll not support that with money.

Too many items are "while VIP", which means you don't get the rewards -- you get the option to lease the rewards. You don't get them right away even when you pay for a year in advance. You have to log in to collect them. You don't get them account-wide (it's just ONE character). They're not auto-added, you have to go collect them each life. Hassle piled on hassle. Whoever is making these design choices is deliberately trying to waste my time and annoy me.

All of these combine to say "you get nothing at all". Once I finish the ETR cycle on my current alt, I'll just cancel VIP and put the game into background mode -- log in for weekly raids and that's it.

However, a great VIP offering would not change my decision. They're failing on basic delivery. Essentially idiot-mode mistakes resulting in generally unpleasant playing hassles: horrific lag (*really* bad coding server side), low drop rates, poor storage (tiny, slow, buggy & not searchable across all chars), continuing persistent item bugs (tooltip & behavior), etc etc..

They aren't terrified of anything because they just simply do not care. They don't listen to feedback. They don't talk things out with the players or provide rational reasonings for adjusting certain meta(s).

They also don't tell you things they nerfed. Razorclaw got nerfed but wasn't displayed in the patch notes.

lacklustre at best ... these are [of course not] all based upon total vip time rather than whenever (if) this starts on the 32nd of whenever?

--- That's a big one
Month 8: +20 Lesser Heart. I suppose some might go for XP or discovery potion but the rest are newb traps.

--- Decent
Month 1: 500 DDO points
Month 9: +1% chance of named

--- Pretty Weak
Month 2: Legendary Bypass timer. Only thing of any real value.
Month 3: Yawn. Minor account add that only works while VIP
Month 5: Legendary Bypass timer. Only thing of any real value.
Month 6: Cosmetic effect. ( Potentially one not easy to turn off? )
Month 7: Already have a character with maxed out crafting
Month 10: Legendary Bypass timer. Only thing of any real value.
Month 11: Yawn. Minor account add that only works while VIP
Month 12: Mount. I have several.

--- Pathetic
Month 4: Resist Wear 10%. Not even a yawn.

The Cosmetics are neat, I guess.

Bags of Many things. Meh. (300 sXP LMFAO! laughable.)

Character slots, durability ward, crafting xp, Yawwwnnnn

The 1% discovery bonus. Probably one of the best things in it.

The Spell swap changes are a nice QoL thing though.

Very mid all together. Not the greatest but it's an improvement. I can appreciate that while they are "bonuses" to the program, I also don't feel compelled to always keep my subscription, so I won't really feel bad if I decide not to subscribe any longer or can't sub at some point. sooo.. eh.

I'm typically subbed anyways, so it's just bonus stuff for me regardless.

My concern is that, I'm not sure there's anything that really sticks out to make people want to subscribe. I mean, people really do love their cosmetics, so I guess there's that... but idk. I imagine it's a bit tough to find a balance between making it worth it while also not frustrating players that maybe can't sub. idk. I guess it is what it is. Just added benefits for those already subbing anyways.

True but...SSG finally has to understand that the playerbase dont care how many DDO points or items they will get. We are intrested in QUALITY OF LIFE benefits and changes. Sure 6500 DDO point is handy but the perks suggested here

are far more intresting and valuable and would make players buy VIP sub.

It is not that complicated to understand. If your client states celarly what he/she wants from you and you do something totally different, you will lose the client 100%.

there's a couple of nice things but it's kind of meh overall. not that I expect them to listen to any feedback on this (much like they didn't on the epic destiny tweak) but that month 4 is one the stupidest thing I've seen in this game next to that flaming orb in the one epic destiny tree. do people really have problems affording fixing their gear? overall this doesn't really move the needle for me. I'd rather see them just give more ddo points, astral shards, threads, etc that would encourage people to join VIP.
