I remember that I was surprised that there are no flails, longspears, javelins and slings!
They are available in other dnd games (including 3.5 rules based like Temple Of Elemental Evil).

Hobgoblins already throw javelins and enemies in Shadowfell seem to use weapons similar in some way to flails.
